Mubs staff call off strike

The academic staff of Makerere university businesses school have suspended their strike which had hit the third week after the university management solved some of their demands.

Three weeks ago, the lecturers went on strike over unpaid allowances for internship and failure by the university to pay some lecturers their salary enhancement.

Speaking to Kfm,the chairperson of Mubs academic association Isaac Magoola says that they have suspended their strike after the university management remitted some of the allowance on their accounts.

Magoola however says they have formed a committee to investigate those lecturers whose salaries have not been enhanced and return a report in a months time.
