The Management of Makerere University has been tasked to urgently clear the over Shs.4 billion in staff pension.

The chairperson Makerere University Academic staff Association Dr. Mohamed Kigundu says the money has accumulated since the last financial year.

Kigundu says failure by the university to clear pension funds has made 80% of the former employees continue occupying the university houses meant for the teaching staff.

Kigundu says the university has been given up to next semester to clear this money or drastic action will be taken.
