The management of Mandela National Stadium Namboole has been advised not to host the forthcoming NRM delegates’ conference due this December.
The advice came from members of the Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and the State Enterprises during an interface with the stadium manager.
This followed revelation that the party had failed to clear a balance of 188 million shillings for its delegates’ conference held in 2010.
Committee chairperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda now says the stadium management must ensure the party clears this debt before it is given the venue for another conference.
However the Stadium manager Jamil Ssewanyana said management continues to collect money from its debtors, expressing hope that the party may clear its debt before December 15th when the conference is to be held.
