The role of presidential advisor on military affairs, Gen. Salim Saleh, has been put under scrutiny by some legislators.
Kyadondo East MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda wants the army to give its position on the position of Gen. Saleh, who is also the patron of the wealth creation desk in the army.
Ssemujju says Saleh retired from the army years back however he has been seen spearheading several army-related projects.
Meanwhile, the proposal to have the UPDF take over the Miss Uganda Beauty pageant to attract the youth into agriculture and fight poverty has drawn mixed reactions from members of the general public. A section of the public has told KFM that the General should be allowed to serve the nation, while others think he has to fully retire.
The proposal was revealed by Gen. Salim Saleh, the presidential advisor on military matters.
The UPDF is currently preparing to take over the NAADS program.
