The minister for internal affairs Gen. Jeje Odongo has been directed by parliament to come with a report explaining how the government is going to help and compensate the families that lost their beloved ones during the political riots last year in November.
Parliament’s directive followed the complaint which has been raised by Kajara county MP Micheal Timuzigu who said that in his constituency, there is a man who lost his son who had just graduated and had just gotten a job but was shot dead by security people yet he was not rioting and up to today, the government has not compensated the family.
Timuzigu asked the speaker Rebecca Kadaga, to force the government to present the report showing how all those people who died in free Bobi Wine protests will be helped.
Kadaga has directed the minister of internal affairs to report to parliament on Tuesday next week to explain to members in detail this matter.
