Kinkinzi East Member of Parliament Dr. Chris Baryomunsi and Dr. Sylvester Onzivua have both been produced at Buganda road court.
The duo faces charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, while Onzivua is charged with using his office to unlawfully obtain samples from the body of the late Cerina Nebanda.
They are appearing before Chief Magistrate Sylvia Nabaggala. Meanwhile Kampala Central MP Muhammed Nsereko has been taken to Tororo where he is expected to be produced at the High Court there over similar charges.
Baryomunsi is represented by a group of six lawyers led by Abdu Katuntu, while Onzivua is represented by two lawyers led by Francis Biramwa.
The MPs are in trouble over statements made in relation to the death of former MP Cerinah Nebanda, as they demanded for an inquiry into the actual cause of her death.
The government report indicates that alcohol and bits of cocaine were found in the deceased’s body and blames her death on the same.
