The Legal and Parliamentary Affairs committee is yet to receive updates from the cabinet on the constitutional amendment bill 2017 in relation to land acquisition.
On 2nd August, Lands Minister Betty Amongi together her Constitutional Affairs counterpart Gen.Kahinda Otafiire requested the committee to give them two weeks to consult cabinet.
Speaking to KFM, the committee chairperson Jacob Oboth says they have not received any communication from both ministries about their readiness to appear before this committee.
He adds that the committee is still waiting for their response.
Meanwhile, Gen Otafiire says he is not aware that the time they were given by the committee has elapsed.
