Embattled Bubulo West MP, Tony Kipoi faces extradition from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Government has already asked the DRC government to facilitate the transfer of Kipoi from Kinshasa, where he is reportedly receiving treatment.
Kipoi who faces treason charges, is being probed by the Rules and Privileges committee of Parliament for absconding from duty for over 15 sittings.
Appearing before the committee this afternoon, Defence minister, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga says the MP has to be brought back to face charges in court.
However, Kipoi’s lawyer, Fred Mukasa Mbidde says extraditing his client would be illegal.
