There was drama in parliament this afternoon as Tororo member of parliament Geoffrey Ekanya attempted to struggle himself using his tie on the floor this afternoon.
His action which later led to him undressing his coat followed debate over proposed creation of new districts.
Ekanya who was backed by other Mps from Tororo region in his submission expressed pain on behalf of the people of Tororo for being denied a district for over 10 yrs with tribal tensions rising by the day.
Ekanya said it wasn’t not worth remaining a member of parliament if views of his people would not be considered.
However the deputy speaker of parliament described the legislators actions as turning parliament into a theater by dramatizing the matter.
Tororo is not on the list of proposed districts set to take effect in next year’s beginning next year
