Three people -all members of the same family have perished in an accident along Masaka Mbarara highway road in Lwengo district.
The victims have been identified as 26 year old Nabukenya Asiati, her 5 year old son Timothy Senabulya and 3 months old baby girl.
The accident occurred at Kyabogo village, when a speeding car registration number UAS 307R that was heading to Kampala from Mbarara ran over the trio that was walking along the road side.
According to eye witnesses Nabukenya was walking back home from Kingo health center where she had taken her children for immunization.
The officer in charge of traffic in Lwengo district Fredrick Wasswa has attributed the accident to speeding and reckless driving.
The deceased’s bodies have been taken to Masaka hospital for postmortem.
