More countries are still confirming participation in the Cecafa senior challenge cup due to take place in July between 3rd and 18th in Bahir Dar Ethiopia.
The latest nation to confirm is the democratic republic of Congo as guests and this was confirmed by Cecafa executive director Auka Gacheo.
Cecafa members agreed earlier that the U23 age category will represent countries in this year’s tournament and all member associations shall contribute $20,000 to help the host nation Ethiopia cover costs.
Morley Byekwaso who led Uganda to the U20 finals in Mauritania in March will be Uganda’s head coach.
Uganda is the defending champion after beating Eritrea 3-0 in 2019.
