The ministry of health says there is no cause for alarm about the strange disease that is affecting people’s skin is some parts of the central region.
The Ministry spokesperson Rukia Nakamatte says those affected should seek medical help.
She says the infection is caused by worms, and advises that good hygiene practices be adopted.
The disease has affected people in areas of Buvuma, Katikamu, Mubende, and Mityana.
The ministry says those living in dusty areas are prone to the disease.
