Ministry of Public Service to automate SMS system
The Ministry of Public Service continues with efforts to improve services to the pensioners.
Several pensioners have in the past been unable to access their pension money or any information regarding the same unless they reached the headquarters in Kampala.
Now, the acting assistant commissioner in the department of compensation Bua Victor Leku says the pensioners no longer have to come to the ministry since the system has now been decentralized.
He adds that the ministry is also working on introducing an automated SMS system to enable pensioners get timely information
