The Ministry of Education headed by the first lady Ms Janet Museveni has made numerous changes within the whole ministry with some officials being promoted while a few transferred.

The former head teacher of Mbale Senior Secondary School, Sam Kuloba has replaced Kule Benson, who has been acting as the commissioner secondary education and Kule now becomes Kuloba’s assistant.

Other 10 officials who have been working as substantive officers have been promoted to the rank of the commissioner heading different directorates within the ministry.

Mr Patrick Muinda, the spokesperson of the ministry told Daily Monitor in an Interview that the above promotions and transfers are normal since once an officer has worked in a place for more than three years, he or she is available for transfer.
