The ICT and national guidance minister Frank Tumwebaze has today revealed that cabinet approved the salary enhancement of all political heads in Kampala.

Addressing journalists at the Uganda Media center, Tumwebaze said the decision was taken as a move to include Kampala Capital city Authority political leaders in the local government category whose salaries are to be enhanced in the 2018/2019 financial year.

However speaking to KFM, the Minister for Kampala Betty Kamya says cabinet only decided to maintain the emolument of KCCA political leaders at the same level as approved by Parliament in this current financial 2017/2018.

Kamya adds that cabinet also agreed to maintain the authority’s budget for political governance at shs 17.8 billion for the financial year 2018/2019 which had been reduced by the executive to shs 15.8 billion.
