These equipment were procured in 2014 under the Uganda Health Systems Strengthening Project at a cost of 13.7 million dollars out of 130 million dollars World Bank loan.
According to Sarah Opendi the state minister for health, the supplier was requested to withdraw the equipment in March 2014 and after protracted discussions, the suppliers agreed to replace questioned equipment’s with pre-inspected equipment.
