Government has downplayed fears of escalating tension over Migingo Islands.
This follows reports of fresh clashes between Kenyan and Ugandan Communities living on the Islands over alleged theft of boat engines.
However, the ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Fred Opolot says consultative meetings are already underway to deal with the reported clashes.
He also warns criminals who use the island as a docking station and cause insecurity.
