Former Premier Amama Mbabazi has vowed to continue with his consultative meetings programs.
Mbabazi was intercepted at the Nile Bridge in Njeru yesterday as he headed to Mbale for his first consultative meeting and was detained at Kira Road Police Station for hours.
Addressing the media after his release last night, Mbabazi said he was to write to the electoral commission adjusting his program before he rolls out again.
He however condemned the manner in which police acted, accusing it of being partisan.

The police have often insisted that Mbabazi first harmonizes his programs with those of his party the NRM and that he follow the right legal procedures.
