Police in Masaka is stuck with the body of a middle aged man which has been recovered from a lake.
According to Masaka District Police Commander John Mwaule, the body was recovered from Nabugabo sand beach. The police estimate the man’s age to be around 25 years.
Mwaule says the man was wearing a yellow long-sleeved Uganda cranes T-shirt with a black pair of shorts. The deceased is believed to have been one of the many revelers that flocked Nabugabo Sand Beach on Boxing Day.
Mwaule says anyone with a missing person should cross check with the Masaka police.
Meanwhile, the southern region police spokesperson Noah Sserunjoji has revealed that at least five people died in the region during the Christmas festivities in different traffic, fire accidents, and suicide.
