Police in Agago district are holding a man who allegedly chopped his wife to pieces.
The suspect identified as Galdino Odoch is said to have attacked one Margaret Lalam, at their marital home in Patongo village.
Odoch reportedly returned home drunk late that fateful night and found his wife had abandoned their matrimonial bed and shifted to the kitchen.
Enraged, Odoch is said to have picked up a machete and cut his wife to pieces. He then reported himself to Patongo Police post.
Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema has confirmed the incident, saying Odoch is still in police custody pending investigation into the matter.
This comes as the country continues to mark 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence.
