The Pre-trial session of former Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) commander Dominic Ongwen will tomorrow be telecast in areas affected by the insurgency.
Addressing the media in Kampala, International Criminal Court (ICC’s) outreach officer for Uganda and Kenya Maria Mabity Kamara says this will be done in Kampala, Gulu and in Soroti specifically in villages of Odek, Abia, Pajule and Balayo.
This is after the court administration failed to have the trail held here due to the ongoing electoral activities and costs involved.
The 60-day trial will see court pronouncing itself on whether or not to confirm charges against Ongwen, or to order a fresh investigation by the prosecution in relation to the 20 years of insurgency in Northern Uganda.
