One of the candidate in lord mayor race,   Kawoya Innocent has blamed government for the low voter turnout for the LC5 and mayoral elections.
After casting his vote, Kawoya says the low voter turnout is mainly because government did not make today a public holiday .
He says most people in Kampala are running businesses which they can’t leave to go and vote.
He has however advised city dwellers to go cast their votes or else bad leaders would find themselves in these positions.
The turnout at most polling stations remains  generally low.
