Some lecturers at Makerere University have allegedly refused to supervise students on internship due to unpaid incentives.
Over 9,000 students are currently on internship and each pays 600,000 as internship fee meant to facilitate them and their supervisors.
According to the student’s guild president Ivan Bwowe some lecturers and students have not received any facilitation from the university.
However the university spokesperson Ritah Namisango says the university deposited all the monies onto the accounts of lecturers and students.
Namisango says those missing might have submitted wrong account numbers and other details to the university.
