By Peter Aligo:

The last batch of UPDF troops that were deployed to hunt for LRA’s Joseph Kony and his fighters in the Central Africa Republic have returned home.

Brigadier Richard Oto, the UPDF Contingent Commander for Central Africa and South Sudan says over 100 UPDF soldiers crossed through Oraba border while others were flown to Arua and Gulu.

Brigadier Oto adds that after seven years, the troops’ mission is over and the rebel leader Joseph Kony is now sick, weak and defeated,”

Col. Felix Abucha the commanding officer 55 Infantry battalion has commended the UPDF soldiers for exhibiting high level of discipline.
