Kyambogo University students elect their new leaders today.
According to the electoral commission chairman Kyambogo University Derrick Yiga, all the materials needed for the voting process have been secured.
This is after the candidates held their final rallies on Saturday.
Yiga says they have also sought for more police deployment at the university to avoid any likely chaos during and after the elections.
He says voting kicks off at 8am and also calls for calm among students to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
The race has attracted four candidates; John Mugabi of the FDC, NRM’s Doreen Ashaba, Democratic Party’s Owen Matte and Nicholas Bukenya an independent.
