Kyambogo University has assured students that the ongoing corruption investigations will not affect the fourth coming examinations.

This week police started investigating allegations of corruption and abuse of office the university.

These investigations followed protests by students over a list of tuition defaulters, some of whom claimed to have cleared payments.

The incident revealed major loopholes in the institution’s financial management, prompting the investigations.

The university’s public relations officer Lawrence Madete says though inquiries are still going on, students will effectively sit for their second semester exams that begin on May 6th.
