The Government is in final stages of extraditing Ex-MP Tony Kipoi.
The government says it has finalized arrangements to extradite former MP Tonny Kipoi Nsubuga from the Democratic Republic of Congo to stand trial over treachery before the military court.
Prosecution led by Capt. Fredrick Kangwamu has told the General Court Martial at Makindye chaired by Brig. Moses Ddiba Ssentongo that investigators will soon handover over Kipoi for trial in court of law.
Kipoi is jointly charged with five UPDF soldiers who have since been remanded.
They include: Sgt. Albino Okeng, Sgt. Yunus Lemeliga, Lance Corporal Rogers Mweru, Lance Corporal Adams K. Mwaka and Private Ijosiga Dodola.
Kipoi is also facing a separate case of treason in which he is accused of plotting to overthrow the government.
