Kipoi replacement process yet to kick off

Parliament has not yet written to the Electoral Commission to organize a by-election for embattled Bubulo West MP, Tony Kipoi.

Last week, Kipoi was thrown out of Parliament, after the Rules, Privileges and Discipline committee found him culpable for missing more than 15 sittings of the House without notifying the Speaker.

Kipoi, who is also facing several charges in court, became the second MP to be thrown of the August House after Gen. David Sejusa.

Parliament’s spokesperson, Hellen Kaweesa says the institution will send communication before the end of this week so elections can be organized.
