By Samuel Ssebuliba:

Police in the eastern border towns is set to start profiling Kenyan nationals who are entering Uganda for fear of possible election violence as the country prepares for the August general elections.

In 2007 Kenya experienced unprecedented post- election violence in which hundreds lost their lives, while thousands were forced to seek refuge in Uganda.

Speaking to KFM, Soweli Kamulya the Bukedi regional police spokesperson says many Kenyans are already entering Uganda through the porous borders and some have started settling in the neighboring towns like Tororo, Jinja and Mbale.

He says profiling them will help government establish the actual number for proper planning.
