Kampala Capital City Authority has constituted a 20- man committee that will organise elections for a legitimate leadership of public transport sector in Kampala.

The committee comprises ten people from KCCA and the taxi operators respectively and is mandated to start the process of preparing for elections of taxi body that will work with the City authority to streamline the taxi industry in Kampala.

The chairman of Drivers and Conductors Association Mustafa Mayambala says KCCA has already sent the 10 members and disbanded TAPSCOM, as agreed last week.
