KCCA tells market vendors to desist exploitation from the authority scouts

By Damali Mukhaye.

Kampala capital city authority has tipped market vendors to desist exploitation from the authority scouts exploiting them after disguising as the authority enforcement team.

This followed numerous complaints by the market vendors in Nakawa market that teams from KCC collecting garbage have been disguising as the enforcement team and extorting money as well as confiscating trader’s items.

According to the authority’s supervisor enforcement operation Polycarp Wasswa, the people who collect garbage in the markets are under public health department thus they are not allowed to confiscate people’s goods.

He urged traders to always report the culprits vowing to take action.
