Lord mayor

The Kampala Capital City Authority council meeting has been adjourned prematurely.

The meeting had been called by the lord mayor Erias Lukwago to discuss among other things; the issue of taxi operations in the city.

However, the discussion could not be handled with no council committees in place.

The mandate of the old committees expired on June 12th 2012.

Earlier, the executive director wrote a letter to council halting the formation of the committee during special council sittings.

The meeting has now been pushed to Thursday next week, when the executive director Jennipher Musisi is expected to return to the country.

She was represented by her deputy Judith Tukahirwe.
