Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has blamed residents for hampering its work.

The   Authority spokesperson Peter Kaujju says Kampala residents have  either  stolen or  destroyed several facilities  put in place that include  free toilets, water pipes and street lights.

He says it has become costly for the authority to maintain these facilities and improve service delivery.

He adds that they have embarked on strict monitoring of its assets and properties within the city, warning that culprits face arrest and subsequent prosecution.
