The hearing of the case against the main suspect in the murder of Major General James Kazini has been scheduled to begin on 22nd August.
Lydia Draru has this morning appeared before High Court Judge Monica Mugenyi, who remanded her back to Luzira Prison.
She was however not allowed to take plea and the state attorney Fred Kakoza says she will take plea on the same date.
Draru is alleged to have murdered major general James Kazini in November 2009 at Wabigalo in Namuwongo, a Kampala suburb.
She confessed to having committed the murder before the Police and Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, Francis Wekesa, in an alleged act of self-defence.
Draru told Police that she hit Kazini three times on the head in self-defence during a scuffle.
If convicted on charges of murder, she faces the death penalty as the maximum punishment prescribed.
