The mother of Geoffrey Kazinda, the jailed former principal accountant in the office of the prime minister has been dragged to the High Court for failure to pay legal fees amounting to Shs230 million.
Lawyers from Wameli and company advocates sued Kazinda’s mother Topista Nanfuuka saying she instructed them to institute a case against government before High Court Civil division demand.
In her suit, Nanfuuka wants to be paid Sh22billion in compensation for lost income after her buildings were destroyed during investigations and arrest of his son Geoffrey Kazinda.
Wameli says Nanfuuka later withdrew instructions from him and instead took on Omongole and Company advocates before paying for services offered.
The case has been allocated to Justice Yasin Nyanzi who is yet to fix a hearing date.
