The Uganda Human Rights commission chairperson Meddy Kaggwa has revealed that former IGP Gen Kale kayihura who is detained at Makindye military barracks is in good condition and had no complaint.
Kayihura is currently being detained at Makindye Military barracks awaiting to be arraigned in court for a number of yet to be disclosed allegations.
Yesterday the commission’s chairperson Kaggwa visited him and also earlier visited the detained Mukono municipality MP Betty Nambooze who is admitted at Kirudu hospital on charges of offensive communication.
Kaggwa without divulging the details of his visit told journalists this morning at his office that Gen. Kayihura told him he was being treated well.
Kayihura was airlifted from his home in Lyantonde and flown to Kampala on the order of the CDF Gen David Muhoozi to report to the UPDF headquarters in Mbuya.
The military has since revealed that the General is in custody at Makindye military barracks and only his lawyers and family are allowed to see him.
