13 people accused of participating in the murder of AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi have asked Nakawa Court grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi to remand them to Luzira prison instead of Nalufenya where they have been since their arrest.
These led by Abdul Rashid Mbaziira told court that they torture them at Nalufenya police station which put their lives are in danger.
They were charged on April 21st 2017 and sent on remand at Luzira prison but instead they were taken to Nalufenya.
Now the magistrate has ordered their dentation in Luzira prison until May 18th when they re-appear for mention of the case.
This after prosecution led by Rachael Nabwire informed court that investigations into the matter are still on-going.
They faced five counts including murder, Terrorism and Aggravated robbery.
Prosecution states that the 13 on the 17th/March 2017 at Kulambiro within Kampala district shot dead AIGP Felix Kaweesi, his body guard Kenneth Erau and his driver Godfrey Wambewa as they drove in the official Uganda Police vehicle to work.
