Katakwi cattle stolen during voting

At least forty heads of animals were stolen yesterday in various parts of Katakwi district as their owners went to vote.

The District Councilor for Ngariam Sub County, George William Apuda says the animals belonging to John Okubi were stolen from Adungulu village in Kelim Parish and are yet to be recovered.

However, the Henry Okwang the UPDF Sector Commander for Katakwi and Amuria Districtssays they have only received and confirmed reports of the three animals stolen from Apeleun village in Pakwi parish Ngariam Sub County and another 30 stolen from Akwamor village.
