The body of the fallen first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African community Affairs Eriya Kategeya has been flown into the country.
The casket arrived at Entebbe International Airport from Nairobi at 10AM and has been taken to Mulago Hospital.
It will then be taken to his home in Kiwatule a Kampala suburb.
According to the tentative program released by government spokesperson, and minister of information Mary Karooro Okurut.
Tomorrow, Kategaya’s body will lie in state in parliament for the public to pay respects and signing of the condolence book starting at 9:00 am.
Thereafter the casket will be moved to the parliamentary chambers at 2:00 pm for members of parliament to pay their tributes and eulogise the fallen politician.
On Wednesday, a funeral service will be held at All saints Cathedral Nakasero starting at 9:00 am.
The casket will then leave for his ancestral place in Itojo village, Ntungamo district.
Burial is slated for Thursday the 7th March at Itojo village.
The government has also extended its condolences to the family, relatives, and friends, to the country, and the entire East African community.
Kategaya died on Saturday in Nairobi Kenya, where he had been hospitalized for sometime.
