The Office of the Prime Minister has delivered relief aid to homes that were affected by floods in Kasese district.
Seven families were displaced and several others lost hundreds of acres of crops in February this year when a mudslide hit the water channel that flows to the Kilembe Mines Hydro Electricity dam in Bugoye sub-county.
The Officials from OPM on Monday delivered 10 tons of maize flour and 3 tons of beans to the Kasese district disaster committee to be distributed to the affected families.
The committee chairperson Wilson Asaba says they are to draw a distribution plan.
Meanwhile over 400 families affected by last year’s drought are yet to be assisted.
