NRM youth in Amudat district in Karamoja sub region in North Eastern Uganda have asked President Museveni to reconcile the party leaders in the district whom they saying are diving the party for their selfness.
The youth who spoke to Daily Monitor on Thursday in Amudat town said there is a lot of a wrangle in the party and that it was weakening and discrediting the party as well as exposing party weaknesses to the public.
Peter Kiplarit one of the youth mobilize in Loro sub county said the party is currently divided into two camps within NRM adding that there was a lot of witch-hunting that might lead into death.
Joyce Chelangat another female youth said the current division-ism needs to be addressed quickly by president Museveni before it reaches stage where people will start killing each other and crossing into other parties..
The youth are also calling upon the NRM secretary general to organize for re-registration exercise for party members saying out of 50,000 people it’s less than 20,000 people who were registered leaving the rest of people unregistered.
The youth also demands the change of district NRM party administrator, Hassan Lobangan claiming that he’s son to the incumbent Member of Parliament, Micah Lolem and that he will not be fair.
