City businessman Andrew Kananura is granted bail but is not yet free.
Kananura who is the prime suspect in the murder of one Badru Katerega has been released on a Shs 20m cash bail.
He is jointly charged with four others who include his brother Raymond Kananura.
His sureties who included the Makerere University Chancellor Prof. Mondo Kagonyera have been bonded Shs 50m not cash.
High Court judge Lameck Mukasa has ordered Kananura to deposit his passport and not to leave the country without permission from court’s registry.
He also has to report to the Special Investigations Unit once a month, as well as to the City Hall Court as required.
Kananura is however is not free yet.
He now waits to appear at the Buganda Road Court for hearing of another bail application on separate charges of fraud this afternoon.
