Authorities in Kamuli Town Council have exhumed and relocated seven bodies to give way for road works.
Soroti Zone LC Chairman Stephen Matege has clarified that the graveyard was in the Council road reserve design and as the Town expands to Municipality status more graves will be relocated.
He has asked relatives to comply.
The Kamuli Town Clerk Ronald Baganzi says the authorities are consulting all those affected by the development plan under the Urban Planning and many are cooperating
Meanwhile, Juma Kasaliita the clan leader who led the exhumation team says they were securing the remains of their departed relatives to allow the Town expansion because they could lose them.
