Kampala is one of the 41 districts that have missed out on GAVI funds meant for strengthening routine immunization.
This is after failing to account for funds received during the last quarter.
According to the program officer, Uganda National Expand Program for Immunization Dr. Robert Mayanja, only the 61 districts that accounted for the funds have benefited from the Shs 500 million.
Mayanja says it is against this back ground that they have organized a stake holders’ meeting to raise awareness on proper management of GAVI funds.
