The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has called for the arrest of anyone responsible for encouraging early child marriages and teenage pregnancy.

The Speaker was officiating at the Kamuli district Day of the African Child Celebrations held in Nawanyago last evening.

The Speaker also supported the ordinance of Kamuli District to arrest anyone taking party in a wedding ceremony of children.

She says that anyone who engages in sexual abuse especially towards a child should be interdicted and also named and shamed.

The event was organised under the theme “Leave no child out of development.”
