By Moses Kyeyune:

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has vowed never to apologise for suspending errant opposition members from the House.

The Speaker’s outburst follows criticism over the manner in which she suspended members opposed to the amendment of the Constitution to provide for lifting of the presidential age limit.

Speaking during this afternoon’s session, Kadaga has also denied accusations of instructing security officers to raid the chambers of Parliament on the fateful day.

She says that her decision on Wednesday last week should attract no public criticism since she is the custodian of the business in the House.
