Judiciary urged to support industrial court

Reporter | February 25, 2014

The Industrial court needs more support.

Newly appointed Industrial Court judge, Asaph Ntengye says the backlog currently plaguing the courts could be cured if the two judges appointed to it hold separate sittings.

Ntegye says the law provides that both judges are present during one sitting, which could slow down clearance of backlog.

Ntengye was early this year appointed Chief Judge of the court, as well as Lillian Tumusiime as judge.
