The judiciary has hit back at the Inspector General of Government(IGG) over claims of sabotaging her efforts to fight corruption among government officials.
Justice Irene Mulyagonja told legislators that suspected officers run to court which blocks the investigations especially in fraudulent procurements.
She says at one point court ruled that the IGG had no jurisdiction to investigate procurement irregularities which is an obstacle in fighting graft.
However, the Judiciary deputy spokesperson Araali Muhirwa advises the IGG to always appeal when dissatisfied with the court ruling.
Muhirwa explains that it is difficult to pin a suspect without concrete evidence and witnesses.
