The Japadhola community living in Kampala has organized a joint requiem mass for five of the six employees who died in the Monday fire that gutted Crest Foam Mattress factory in Ntinda.
The prayers will be held at Kireka Catholic Church tomorrow morning before the bodies are taken to Tororo district for burial.
This has been confirmed by Martin Ochowo the head contractor who recruited the deceased into rolling mattresses—a trade in which they perished.
He says the funeral arrangements commenced after the DNA results were released yesterday by Mulago hospital authorities.
DNA samples of the dead and the relatives were then to Nairobi to ascertain their identities before handing bodies over for burial.
Paul Bainomugisha the human resources manager Crest Foam says they have already dispatched the body of Edward Ssempira one of the six to Muduuma in Mpigi district for burial.
