Uganda’s Jas Mangat is favored to win this year’s V Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally that starts tomorrow at Lubiri.
Mangat who drives a powerful Mitsubishi Evo10 leads both the national and African Rally Championship log with 58 points.
His close competitor Muhammad Essa on 50 points will also stage a big fight.
According to a provisional start list, Mangat will be flagged off first followed by reigning continental champion Essa.
Ronald Ssebuguzi will take off third while Zambian Jassy Singh and Kenyan champion Carl Tundo are fourth and fifth respectively.
2011 Pearl Rally winner Ponsiano Lwakataka will hit the road eighth.
Already 43 drivers have been confirmed by the FIA to take part in the event.
